RAFHAN ! share happiness :)

Hey foodiee's ! hope you all are having a great time . So sorry we were badly stuck in our studies that we haven't posted anything since a long time , but now here we are :) 


We recently got an opportunity to visit Karachi Eat Festival 2016 one of the most exciting and happening food festival of Karachi 'Rafhan' invited us to visit their innovative booth at Karachi Eat Festival. As we are all aware of 'Rafhan', that is one of the leading brands of Pakistan and their products are must in everyone's kitchen counter . Rafhan has a amazing range of desserts such as Custard , Pudding , Ice-creams and Jelly along with Rafhan's Cornflour. For every special moments people first choice to share happiness and joy is Rafhan's Desserts range. They have such mouthwatering flavors of custards and jellies with really appealing and colorful packaging.  And, recently, they have launch their new flavors of custard which are Chocolate and Caramel . 




       




Now, we are gonna tell you about our experience at Rafhan booth .We visited Karachi Eat Festival 2016 at Day 3. Among many other stalls there was this one stall that dominates the others because of the beautiful decoration and the bright-red color that brightened up the whole area. Yes! it was Rafhan's Booth :). When we reached the booth ,firstly,we were warmly welcomed and then were asked to pick custard from four delicious flavors : Chocolate , Strawberry, Caramel and Vanilla along with any jelly of our choice. The surprising element was variety of scrumptious toppings that included  white chocolate chips, nuts ( crushed almonds , crushed walnuts ) ,rainbow sprinkles , fruit cocktail , chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce  that made our custard more happening and so delicious. Well,I chose Vanilla custard with fruit cocktail and rainbow sprinkles because you know I am a sweet tooth where as Taliya took Caramel custard flavor with nuts as you know she is kind of person who don't like too sweet flavor so she balances the sweet flavor with crunchy nuts . Finally there was a Photo booth too with some quotes on holding banners. Taliya and I took our photo there too. Then they conducted a small interview about their product and how we use them in our daily lives. Over all i'll conclude by saying that if you have missed the opportunity of going to Rafhan booth this time make sure you don't do it that next time! ;) we enjoyed every second there :). We loved doing all the activities there It was a real FUN .  i will end my post by quoting Rafhan , " (Rafhan believes) it's the little moments in life that make it big".

ONION RINGS

RAMADAN FIESTA


RECIPE NO.:10              ONION RINGS




INGREDIENTS:

  • onion                                                              2
  • refined flour                                                   1 and 1/4 cup
  • egg                                                                 1
  • milk                                                                1 cup
  • baking powder                                                1 teaspoon
  • black pepper                                                   1 teaspoon
  • salt                                                                  to taste
  • bread crumbs                                                  1 and 1/2  cup
  • oil                                                                    for frying



DIRECTIONS:

  1. cut onion into ring shape
  2. in a bowl, add refined flour and egg, slowly add milk and stir continuously(to avoid lumps)
  3. add baking powder,salt and black pepper in the batter
  4. dip each onion ring first in the batter then coat it with bread crumbs
  5. heat the oil in a frying pan and deep fry the onion rings until golden brown
