ALFREDO PASTA
how can we forget Alfredo.........
Do you know that alfredo is one of the oldest and simplest ways to prepare pasta. The dish was named by Alfredo Di Lelio I, a restaurateur who opened and operated restaurants in Rome, Italy, throughout the early to mid 20th century. Basically, Fettuccine Alfredo is a pasta dish made from fettuccine tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter.
INGREDIENTS:
- butter 50 g
- garlic cloves(minced) 3
- cream 2 cup
- black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- salt to taste
- parmesan cheese 1/2 cup
- fettuccine pasta or 250 g your choice we personally like fettuccine for our alfredo
DIRECTIONS:
- melt the butter in a pan over medium/low heat.
- add garlic cook for 1-2 mins. (hmm! i can smell it. its so yummy)
- add cream, salt, black pepper, bring the mixture to simmer.
- now add the Parmesan cheese and cook sauce until thicken
- mix the pasta and the sauce together or you could spoon the pasta on the serving plate and pour over the sauce. Well we girls likes to mix the sauce and pasta together :).
