CREAMY CHICKEN SPINACH PASTA
Today, i was just roaming around my garden when i came across those beautiful bunch of spinach. And, i just couldn't resist to think about my next blog post: Creamy Chicken Spinach pasta.One of the most popular dish, moreover, my personal favorite pasta dish.
Do you know Spinach is thought to have originated in ancient Persia (modern Iran and neighboring countries). It is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, magnesium, manganese, folate iron, riboflavin, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium and dietary fiber.
INGREDIENTS:
- chicken(cut into small pieces) 250g
- spinach(roughly chopped) 250g
- garlic cloves(minced) 3
- cream 1 cup (1 tetra packet)
- salt as required
- black pepper as required
- chicken stock 1 and 1/2 cup
- pasta of your choice we used penny pasta 200g
- oil 4-5 tablespoon
- butter 1 tablespoon
DIRECTIONS:
- on a medium flame, add oil and butter in a pan
- as the butter melt, add garlic and chicken and cook until chicken color changes
- now add the spinach and saute for 5 mins
- add the chicken stock, mix and cover the lid. Cook for 10-12 mins or until the stock reduces (1/4th of the stock remains)
- in the end add the cream, season with salt and pepper,cook it almost for 2-3 mins.
- spoon the pasta on serving plate and pour over the sauce.
