Chicken Chowmein!

PASTA WEEK RECIPE 1


Starting this pasta fever with one of famous and most common and our favorited dish "chicken chowmein". Do you know that the name being an English language corruption of the Taishanese chāu-mèing, chow meaning fried and mein meaning noodles.

CHICKEN CHOWMEIN <3 <3 <3





INGREDIENTS:


  • chicken boneless                    250 grams                                                                                 
  • capsicum (julienned)              1 
  • carrot (julienned)                    1
  • cabbage (julienned)                1 cup
  • spring onion (chopped)          3 tablespoon
  • soya sauce                              4-5 tablespoon
  • chilli sauce                             1 tablespoon
  • vinger                                     1 tablespoon
  • worcestershire sauce              2 tablespoon
  • salt                                          to taste
  • black pepper powder              1 teaspoon
  • chicken powder                      2 teaspoon
  • garlic(minced)                        2 cloves
  • green chilli (finely chopped)  1-2
  • oil                                           as required

For chicken marination:


  • corn flour                                4 tablespoon
  • oil                                            almost 1 table spoon
  • salt                                           to taste
  • pepper                                      to taste

                      

DIRECTIONS:


  1. Cut chicken into small pieces , marinate it with corn flour, salt , pepper and a little bit of oil.
  2. Fry the chicken. ( and do not forget to taste some of these fried chicken, trust me, its so damn good!)
  3. Heat the wok and add oil,following garlic and green chillies. (this combination,i must say, is heavenly made. simply adding pasta at this point will get you an absolutely delicious pasta dish.)
  4. As the garlic and green chilli's color changes, add the fried chicken,cook 2-3 mins
  5. now add all the vegetables and stir fry till veges are slightly soft just. do not over cook it. you do not want to lose that crunchiness of the veges
  6. add all the remaining ingredients except black pepper
  7. finally add the noodles
  8. now grab a spatule, turn the flame high, and stir fry the noodles (drizzle some oil on the top while frying) about 7 -10 mins
  9. in the end add black pepper and mix.
