ONION RINGS

RAMADAN FIESTA


RECIPE NO.:10              ONION RINGS




INGREDIENTS:

  • onion                                                              2
  • refined flour                                                   1 and 1/4 cup
  • egg                                                                 1
  • milk                                                                1 cup
  • baking powder                                                1 teaspoon
  • black pepper                                                   1 teaspoon
  • salt                                                                  to taste
  • bread crumbs                                                  1 and 1/2  cup
  • oil                                                                    for frying



DIRECTIONS:

  1. cut onion into ring shape
  2. in a bowl, add refined flour and egg, slowly add milk and stir continuously(to avoid lumps)
  3. add baking powder,salt and black pepper in the batter
  4. dip each onion ring first in the batter then coat it with bread crumbs
  5. heat the oil in a frying pan and deep fry the onion rings until golden brown

CHICKEN SANDWICH

RAMADAN FIESTA:

RECIPE NO.: 8      Chicken Sandwich 



The recipe of chicken sandwich is exactly the same as  Chicken Mayo Garlic Bread Roll! , few things are different and its an another idea of using that ingredients in a different way :) hope you all will enjoy.







INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken 250 grams(boneless optional)
  • Water 2 cups
  • Black pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Hot Sauce or Chilli Sauce 1 tablespoon 
  • Salt as required
  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 100 grams
  • Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons 
  • Cream 2 tablespoons
  • Bread 20 pieces(fresh)
  • Cheese slices(optional)
  • Parmesan Cheese 1 tablespoon


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Take a pan , add chicken , water , black pepper ,vinegar, salt and hot sauce in it and cook it until the water has been totally absorbed by the chicken.
  2. Cut the Sides of the bread , its on you if you don't want to cut the sides just don't :).
  3. Take boiled chicken , shred it.
  4. Then put the Shredded chicken in a bowl , add butter , mayonnaise , cream , Parmesan cheese ( black pepper and salt ,if these spices are less or more than your taste then you people can increase and decrease the amount of it)  and mix it well.
  5. Now your chicken mixture is ready , take the bread piece spread the chicken mixture on it , put cheese slices and lettuce to make it look and taste amazing put another piece of bread on it ,   and then cut it diagonally which give us the beautiful shape of a sandwich :)

NOODLES KEBAB

RECIPE NO:. 7               NOODLES KEBAB




INGREDIENTS:


  • mashed potatoes                                        1 cup
  • chicken(boiled and shredded )                   1/2 cup 
  • noodle(chicken flavor)                               1 packet
  • spring onion (chopped)                              3 tbsp      
  • garlic cloves (minced)                                2               
  • eggs                                                          2
  • salt                                                           to taste
  • black pepper                                            to taste
  • oil                                                            for frying

DIRECTIONS:

  1. boil the noodles as instructed on the packet
  2. in a bowl, mix eggs(beaten) and noodles together
  3. add chicken,potato,garlic,spring onion and the chicken masala (given in the noodles packet)
  4. season it with some salt and pepper
  5. heat oil in a frying pan, add 1/4 cup of the mixture , fry until both side is golden brown.

CREAM FRUIT CHAAT

RECIPE NO:. 6    Cream Fruit Chaat 



INGREDIENTS:


  • Banana's                                 3 medium size
  • Apple                                     1 medium size
  • Yellow Melon (honeydew)        1 small size
  • Mangoes                                 2 medium size
  • Pineapple                               2 tablespoon of tinned cubes 
  • Sugar                                      4 tablespoon
  • Cream                                    100 ml

You people can add any of your favorite fruit in this but make sure it must not have any sour taste

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut all the fruits in small pieces in a big bowl .
  2. Add sugar and cream in the fruits and mix it well.
  3. Your delicious cream fruit chaat is ready to eat ;)

CHILLOS

RAMADAN FIESTA

RECIPE NO.:5               CHILLOS








INGREDIENTS:


  • Green Chillies                                               8 large 
  • chicken mince                                               250g
  • minced garlic cloves                                      4 medium 
  • refined flour                                                 3 tablespoon
  • cheddar cheese shredded                               6-7 tablespoon
  • mozzarella cheese shredded                          6-7 tablespoon
  • milk                                                               1-1/2 cup
  • salt                                                                 to taste
  • black pepper                                                   to taste
  • oil                                                        4 tablespoon+for frying

FOR COATING:


  • breadcrumbs
  • egg






DIRECTION:


  1. on a medium high flame, add oil and garlic. cook it for a minute or 2 or until the garlic slightly changes it color.
  2. add minced chicken to it and cook it for 5 or 6 minutes.
  3. add refined flour to the chicken ;stir for about 2 to 3 minutes. 
  4. slowly add milk and stir it constantly in order to avoid any lumps.
  5. when the mixture start to thicken slightly, add chedder and mozzarella to it ( you can be generous with your cheese in case you want it to be very cheesy ;) ) . 
  6. season the sauce with some pepper and salt. and you sauce is done!
  7. make a cut in the middle of each chilli  as shown in picture. 
                                                           
      8.fill the chillies with  the cheese sauce around 2 tablespoon in each ( you can make variation in the amount of filling u want to add in the chillies)  
     9.finally, coat each chilli with eggs ( season with some pepper optional) and breadcrumbs twice.

PAKOLA DOODH SODA

RECIPE NO.: 4  Pakola Doodh Soda .


In this Hot Weather this refreshing drink is must try ;)



INGREDIENTS:


  • Pakola fizzy drink or 7up                        1 cup
  • Milk (chilled)                                           1 cup
  • Sugar                                                    3 tablespoon
  • Ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:


  1. Take a jug add milk and sugar in it and mix it well.
  2. Then add the Ice cubes in it after that add pakola drink or 7up in it and mix it well with a spoon.
  3. Your Chilled refreshing Doodh Soda is ready to drink :) Enjoy

CHEESE BOMBS

RAMADAN FIESTA:


RECIPE NO.: 3   CHEESE BOMBS 




INGREDIENTS:


  • Cheddar cheese( cut into 1 inch cube)                 7 cubes
  • Bread crumbs                                                     1 cup
  • Egg                                                                   1
  • Refined flour                                                     1/2 cup
  • Dried parsley                                                     1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder                                               1/4 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder                                                    1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper                                                      1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt                                                                   a pinch
  • Oil                                                                    for frying



DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix dried parsley, red chilli powder, garlic powder, black pepper and salt with the bread crumbs in a bowl
  2. Beat the egg in another bowl
  3. First coat the cheese cube with refined flour, then dip it in egg, finally with the bread crumb mixture
  4. Repeat the above process twice for each cheese cube
  5. Put the cheese cube in the refrigerator, let it set for about 20-30 mins
  6. Heat the oil on a medium/ high flame, when the oil is hot enough add the cheese cubes, fry it until golden brown.


Serve it hot with any dip of your choice or just simply grab it and drop it in  your mouth ;)

 RECIPE NO.:2  Chicken Mayo Garlic Bread Roll




INGREDIENTS:


  • Chicken                                    250 grams(boneless optional)
  • Water                                        2 cups
  • Black pepper                            1 teaspoon
  • Hot Sauce or Chilli Sauce         1 tablespoon   
  • Salt                                           as required
  • Vinegar                                    1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise                              2 cups
  • Garlic                                       3 cloves
  • Bread                                       14 pieces(fresh)    
  • Oil                                           for frying

FOR COATING:


  • Eggs      
  • Breadcrumbs 


DIRECTIONS:


  1. Take a pan , add chicken , water , black pepper ,vinegar, salt and hot sauce in it and cook it until the water has been totally absorbed by the chicken.
  2. Take the boiled chicken and garlic cloves add them into a chopper and chop it (but remember don't make it a minced chop).
  3. Take a bowl add the chopped chicken and mayonnaise then mix it well.
  4. Slowly Flatten the bread (i flatten it with rolling pin) take fresh bread otherwise it will be teared when flatten, put 1 tablespoon mixture of chicken in it roll it up and then coat it with first egg and then breadcrumbs. repeat this step until your mixture got finished :p
  5. Put the oil on medium or at a bit high flame , And fry these bread rolls in it . Enjoy it with your favorite sauces . We love to have it with Chilli Garlic Sauce :)

POTATO PAKORA

RAMADAN FIESTA


RECIPE NO.: 1     Potato Pakaro




INGREDIENTS:

  • Gram flour (besan)              1 1/2 cup
  • Potatoes                             2 medium size
  • Red chilli powder                1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste              1 tbsp
  • Baking powder                    1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt                                    to taste
  • Water                                as required
  • Oil                                    for frying

DIRECTIONS:


  1. cut potatoes into thin round  shape
  2. mix gram flour, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and baking powder in a bowl
  3. now slowing add water and turn it to a paste (make sure not very thick nor too watery )
  4. dip the potato slice into the mixture and deep fry on a low/medium flame so that it cook perfectly. 

Sprinkle some chaat masala, serve with chilli garlic sauce, there you go your potato pakaro is ready to be serve to your love ones for iftari :)

Review on California Pizza !

Hey Foodiee's . Well today we are gonna share our review on California Pizza which is located in many different area's of Karachi. The First we had it on Taliya's Birthday and we ordered a Jumbo and the flavor was Hot and spicy which was of beef. It was so delicious and tempting and at that time we decided to order it again some other time too.Then after few months our group of friends have first been to Khayaban-e-Shamsheer branch for the friend's birthday treat.


This is Hot and spicy Jumbo :) accompanied with beef, tomatoes , capsicum and layers of cheese <3


As California also had a Salad bar , so this is a Salad which we made :p


At the Khayaban branch we ordered a deal of 2 Jumbo pizza with a drink. There were about 11 flavors and we ordered Creamy Tikka of California pizza it was really creamy and cheesy with a tempting layers of cream sauce ,chicken tikka chunks and onions .The crust of the pizza is soft and properly cooked. After that we became a huge fan of the creamy tikka pizza of California . We eat that up many times that we are now well aware of its taste. There is a also a split option in Jumbo Pizza that you people can avail by ordering different flavors in one Jumbo. But unfortunately there is no split option in Creamy tikka flavor so you can enjoy a whole Jumbo of that yummy creamy tikka pizza with no interruption :D



This is the most yummy Creamy Tikka :)


We also tried other flavors of California pizza too which is Euro, Beef supreme and Fajita Sicilian They were good But we all love creamy tikka the most. And as we are pizza lovers so we can have it any time , who say 'no' to pizza :p . They also have there outlets in Bahadurabad and North Nazimabad Karachi. And we have been at all the outlet. NAN KHATAI

INGREDIENTS:


  • sugar                                  6 ounces                                 
  • ghee(clarified butter)      6 ounces
  • refined flour                      12 ounces
  • cardamon powder         1 teaspoon
  • baking powder                  1 teaspoon
  • baking soda                       a pinch
  • salt                                     a pinch
  • egg                                      1

DIRECTION:



  1. preheat the oven around 150-180 degree celcius (for gas over)
  2. on a medium/low heat melt the butter and remove
  3. place the melted butter in refrigerator for about 10-15 mins or until solidify just like a butter
  4. now add sugar and cardamon powder in the butter, beat the mixture with the help of beater, first at low speed (1-2 mins) then at high speed (until the color changes to white)
  5. sieve the flour,salt,baking powder and baking soda together in a bowl
  6. combine both the mixture and mix well with hand
  7. REMEMBER do not add milk or water
  8. make a round ball (make sure it should be smooth) and lightly pressed it 
  9. with the help of knife make a cross in the middle
  10. separate the egg white and egg yolk, brush the nan khatai with egg yolk
  11. place nan khatai on grease pan
  12. bake for about 20-30 mins in oven

Meat Ball Spaghetti

MEAT BALL SPAGHETTI

Spaghetti with meatballs (or spaghetti and meatballs) is an Italian-American dish that usually consists of spaghetti, tomato sauce and meat-balls. It is a very popular dish in all over the world.

INGREDIENTS:


FOR MEAT BALLS:


  • Beef Minced (optional you can u use chicken minced too)      250 grams
  • Crushed Red pepper                                      1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground Black pepper                                    1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt                                            1/2 teaspoon or(as required)
  • Parmesan Cheese(grated)                               1 tablespoon
  • Freshly Chopped Coriander                         1/2 teaspoon
  • Chickpea Flour                                                 1 tablespoon
  • Breadcrumbs                                                     1/2 cup
  • Oil                                                                     for frying


FOR SAUCE:


  • Oil                                                                      3 tablespoon
  • Onion(finely chopped)                                       1 small size
  • Tomato Paste                                                    3 medium size
  • Garlic(chopped)                                                 2 cloves
  • Chilli sauce                                                        1 teaspoon
  • Vinegar                                                             1/4 teaspoon
  • Soya sauce                                                        1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt                                                                   as per taste
  • Ground Black pepper                                        1/2 teaspoon    
  • Red pepper                                                        1/2 teaspoon
  • Spaghetti ( boiled)                                             150 grams


DIRECTIONS:


For Meat Balls:


  1. Take minced in a bowl add all the ingredients and mix it up properly.
  2. Make small balls of  the minced mixture and put Oil in a pan and put it on medium flame.
  3. Fry the balls of minced mixture in oil till it get cooked properly and have a brown color on it.

For Sauce:

  1. Take a pan and put it on medium flame.
  2. Now add oil in pan and put chopped onion and garlic in it. Saute it till it get soft and had a brown color on it.
  3. Afterwards add tomatoes(paste), salt, red pepper, black pepper in it and mix it.
  4. In the end add chilli sauce, vinegar , soya sauce in it and mix it all up.
  5. When all the ingredients cooked and mixed properly, add the fried minced balls in it and cover the pan with lid for 3 to 5 minutes.
  Enjoy :)


Serve it by putting plain boiled spaghetti at the bottom of the plate and at the top of spaghetti add the sauce with meat balls and sprinkle some of freshly chopped coriander and grated Parmesan cheese.

Chicken Spaghetti With Brown Butter Sauce 


you are alone. you are hungry. you need food. And what could be best then an easy quick recipe to make? with few ingredients you can have the easiest as well as the yummiest recipe in the world.




INGREDIENTS:


  • spaghetti                                            200 g      
  • chicken                                              100 g
  • butter                                                 7 tablespoon
  • parsley(dried)                                    1 teaspoon
  • garlic clove (minced)                            2
  • oil                                                     1 and 1/2 tablespoon
  • salt                                                     to taste
  • black pepper                                       to taste
  • grated cheese(your choice)   4-5 table spoon or as required

DIRECTION:


  1. heat the pan on the medium flame,add oil and chicken
  2. fry chicken for  4-5 mins
  3. now add garlic and butter
  4. let the butter melt and cook the sauce for about 7-8 mins or until the butter turns brown (just don't burn the butter)
  5. add parsley, black pepper and salt, mix it
  6. finally add the spaghetti and fry for about 4-5 mins
  7. on the serving plate, place over the spaghetti and top with the cheese ( i used parmesan cheese but its up to you , use cheddar or mozzarella)

This time I want something different something red so why not the classic tomato spaghetti accompany with  simple delicate buttery pan fried fish, although Fariyal don't like fish but i am kind of opposite of her "the fish lover <3" and this dish suits fish more so i'll figure out something else for her :), something like chicken. If you are not a fish lover you can also use chicken instead of fish.

Do you know that alfredo is one of the oldest and simplest ways to prepare pasta.  The dish was named by Alfredo Di Lelio I, a restaurateur who opened and operated restaurants in Rome, Italy, throughout the early to mid 20th century. Basically, Fettuccine Alfredo is a pasta dish made from fettuccine tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter.

  • Cheddar Cheese (grated) : 6 tablespoons
  • Fresh Cream : 3/4 cup

Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake With Strawberry And Chocolate Sauce !


INGREDIENTS:



  • 1 Cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup of Caster Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 3/4 Cup of Cooking Oil or Butter or else
  • 3 Tablespoon of Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 drops of Vanilla Essence
  • A heart shaped Cake tin or any other normal Cake tin. (its optional)

 STRAWBERRY SAUCE:


  • 8 Fresh Strawberries (Paste of Strawberries)
  • 3 Tablespoon of Caster Sugar

CHOCOLATE SAUCE:


  • 1/2 Cup of Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Cup of Sugar ( Caster or Normal Optional)
  • 1/2 Cup of Water

DIRECTION:


  1. First take a bowl add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda mix it all and put it aside.
  2. Then take another bowl beat eggs until it gets fluffy and creamy. After that add oil and caster sugar in the beaten eggs and beat it again until it gets creamy and all the ingredients mixed properly.
  3. Afterwards add that mixture of flour which we made in previous step(step 1) in the creamy mixture of beaten eggs ,oil and sugar. mix it up and beat it for a while.
  4. Then add vanilla essence and milk in the batter and beat it again for a while until all the ingredients mixed up properly and it turned out into a creamy , runny and smooth batter.
  5. Grease the Cake Tin (pan) with oil and then put butter paper at the bottom then again Greased it with oil and spread some flour on it. 
  6. After that Put the smooth cake Batter in a greased cake tin(pan) , tap the tin on any surface to make batter bubble (air) free. 
  7. When the cake is baked allow it to cool down , after that spread over the chocolate sauce on the  top of the cake. put strawberries on the chocolate sauce for the decoration and serve it with strawberry sauce.

I Baked the Cake on a Stove. I make my own Stove oven by putting a very big and deep Pan or Skillet on the stove with the Lid on at low flame for about 20 minutes before baking start. After 20 minutes I put up the Batter filled Cake tin in that preheated pan or skillet and make it bake for at-least 1 hour 20 minutes on low flame check it with any pointed thing available or with a knife, by putting the knife in a batter if the knife comes out clean it means the cake is baked but if the knife have some particles on it then it will take a bit more time to cook . Make sure that the surface of the Cake tin does not the touch the surface of the Heated pan or skillet. Put any lid or any other thing which will not connect the surface of the Baking Pan or Cake tin directly to the surface of the heated pan or skillet.


For the Chocolate Sauce:


  • Add all the ingredients (cocoa powder,sugar and water) in a pan put it on a medium flame , mix all the ingredients and cook until it get at your required consistency which in medium not very thick and not very thin.  

For Strawberry Sauce:

  • Add the paste of strawberries and caster sugar in a pan cook it until the ingredients got mixes up properly and it comes to runny and bit thick consistency.

First of all you all need to gather all these ingredients.


The mixture of all-purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda.

Greased Cake tin with butter paper at the bottom.


That shows the consistency of the batter. Pour it in the Cake tin.


After Pouring the Batter in the cake tin , tap that cake tin at your table to get it settled and bubbles free.


After Baking is done. the cake will look like that.



And the Cake is ready to eat . Enjoy :)
